When you are busy on jobs, incomplete paperwork can build up quickly. We help you agree a manageable process for your records, then scope the accounting work around your business structure, staff and deadlines.
Keep job records and payments connected
Keep customer invoices, supplier bills, materials receipts and payments organised. Explain how deposits, staged payments, cash receipts and card payments are recorded. Consistent records help questions get resolved without reconstructing every job at year end.
Separate staff and subcontractor questions
Tell us whether you employ staff, use subcontractors or work as a subcontractor yourself. Construction Industry Scheme responsibilities and employment status need their own review. Bring relevant statements and correspondence; we will identify any additional work before agreeing the service.
Understand your numbers between jobs
Regular bookkeeping can help you see unpaid invoices and upcoming commitments. If you need cash-flow discussions or management information, agree their frequency and the records needed. This is separate from promising a particular tax saving or profit result.
Before we start
Can you help if my receipts are behind?+
We can assess the volume and condition of the records and agree catch-up work. The scope and fee are confirmed before work starts.
Is CIS work automatically included?+
No. Explain your contractor or subcontractor position so the relevant responsibilities can be reviewed and any CIS work specifically agreed.
Meet by appointment at our Oldham office, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, or discuss remote support. We also support Manchester businesses; we do not operate a Manchester city-centre office.
